Is a leeky blader normal after a month?

I had my davinci on the 4th of oct . I noticed my blade was a little leeky to the point that my pad was damp and now after being a month out I'm still having to wear pads for the leeky bladder issue. Is this normal or should I talk to my Dr about it? Has anybody else had this?

Re: Is a leeky blader normal after a month?

I would probably talk to my doc about it. It isn't really that unusual to have problems after the surgery. But it is also possible to have a problem after it. I would try to monitor when this is happening because I can tell you from experience your doc will be asking all kinds of questions about this. I remember from experience having to answer all kinds of questions that I hadn't really paid attention to before. Hopefully it is nothing but better to talk to your doc.

I think the main question is are you sure it's urine that's leaking? I had a yellow discharge that I went to the dr for and I flat told her I'm leaking urine, please fix it. Turned out I had an abscess on my cuff that was draining vaginally.

Re: Is a leeky blader normal after a month?

I'm 3 1/2 wks post op. I was having this issue because I have no sensation of urgency. The only way I know I need to go is when my bladder is painfully full. Then, when I would go, I would find that I had been leaking. Now, I go every 1-2 hrs whether I need to or not - and I always need to. This has eliminated the leaks. I did talk to my dr today and I am doing a urinalysis just to make sure there's no uti.

Hi Alicia, I don't know anything about a leaky bladder, and I'm sorry if you are still struggling. I'm glad to see you post on here. I hope all is getting better at home!

Things are getting a little bit better at home now that my so called hubby of six years left. Needless to say I'm calling it quits with him and am filing for a divorce. I'm not as stressed . I'm just a little more tired and sore now that I'm dealing with out 6 and five year old kids and our 11 month old daughter all by myself . I see the Dr on the 12th for my post op visit along with more testing for the cancer to fInd out if they got it all and if not what typeof trtreatment I'll need.
