TAH One month post hysterectomy: How long will the jelly belly last?

I've had a TAH on the 27/10/2015. How long will the tummy be so huge my hips are also bigger and I have a overhang on my tummy. Can you use a slimming belt or not at this stage?

Would love to know too! I had my DVTH on 10/20 and have the same thing!

The majority of the swelly belly goes down in a few months. I'm 10 months post op and still have swelly belly. It starts out small and gets bigger through out the day. I just got into jeans 3 months ago. I wear a lot of track suits and workout clothes. Leggings are comfy too. I have nerve damage from my surgery so I can't work out like I did pre surgery. Totally sucks going from a size 2 to a size 10 but I feel like if I didn't have nerve damage than I would be close to my old size by now. I want to say that month 3 or 4 is when I felt like my body was returning to normal. I had a LSH with abdominal incision on the left side in Feb/2015
