Kangaroo Pouch??

Hi ladies, I hope all is healing and recovering well! So glad to have found this site. Six weeks post Op on Monday (SAH)...Will I ever be able to get rid of this excess skin that I didn't have before surgery? Don't have money for a tummy tuck! Don't mind exercising but not sure if that will do the trick for this skin above my incision, that I hate!!..0ther than this, I'm feeling really good these days(few aches n pains) I'm ready to finally live! After 43 years on earth, Thank God!

Re: Kangaroo Pouch??

Don't worry little lady, you will be just fine in time, I am still having hotflashes (eeerrrggg!) But not as often, a few days post op I became dizzy to.!? I do have mood swings, I'm not taking anything for them hoping they will eventually subside. I haven't had any crying spells, but there are times I felt like I wanted to. I'm 6 wks post op and starting to feel really good about everything!! You too, will be feeling better. I believe most of what ur going thru is normal. Relax, don't do too much of anything if you don't have to, and give yourself time to heal! Stay well!

Re: Kangaroo Pouch??

I've had a kangaroo pouch even before surgery and now it's worse. I've never been able to get rid of it other than going in to get excess skin removed which I cannot afford either. Since the surgery my pouch could hold about 20 kids. LOL! I was just discussing this in the Nov 1-7 forum last night. I guess you're not the only one so don't feel alone! When I bend over all the excess skin flabs down into what looks like a brain because of the numerous stretch marks from pregnancies. I wish there was some way to get a "medically necessary" tummy tuck. hahaha So as usual, I'm stuck with it. Exercise didn't help for me because there really isn't fat there, just excess skin. It's pretty gross but my husband married me with the pouch but when he returns from deployment he'll probably notice even more of one. Luckily he'd never dare say anything and I don't dare bring up my "defects." lol
