 I had laparoscopic surgery passed nothing but two small clots the size of a pencil eraser, one each at 4 and 6 weeks. Most Sisters have light bleeding or spotting which can be managed with light pads or panty liners. I was given a supply of super maxi-pads from the hospital and didn't use a single one. I'd go with panty liners, though if you want some maxis on hand, go for a minimal amount. If you don't use them, donate them to a women's shelter afterwards.
