post~op 4.5 weeks vaginal hysterectomy

Ive already been treated for an infection, bled for 5 days, and now i am having a stabing pain along with cramps... Can anyone tell me if this normal. My dr doesnt seem to be too concerned about it, but some of the pains come on very hard and i end up doubled over on pain.

Could the pains be gas related? Have you tried something like Gas X or putting moist heat on your tummy? Gas pains can be excruciating. This article on gas has more suggestions.I hope you feel better soon.
