6 week post hysterectomy check today , does this sound ok ?

I'm second guessing everything tonight . My Dr seemed surprised when I said I still have discomfort . He did an internal and pressed tummy quite hard I felt zero pain. He asked if I had sex yet I said no . He said he sees a bit of discharge at the cuff so to give sex 2 more weeks and he will see me in a year . This is normal right? Freaking out about vag cuffs popping open and saw a gross pic on line ! Kinda wish I kept my cervix. I did a 2 hour car ride, ( passenger) the exam , home goods for 25 mins then lunch and I only have mild discomfort inside .

Are you asking if the comment of seeing you in a year sounds right? If so, I would say yes. My doc had me do a 2 week post-op with full exam, made similar comment about discharge and that everything looked good. All of this was followed with a come back in a year or two at the most comment. Regarding sex, I was told I could at 6 weeks, but I personally am not comfortable with that and will hold out at least until week 8.

Yes the comment about the year . I figured if he saw discharge near the cuff then maybe he would need to see me again to make sure it was gone , but he said 8 weeks for sex and take everything slow . See you in a year , I was just worried seeing discharge wasn't normal but sounds like maybe it is . I asked if he could see stitches but it said its hard to see stitches .
