Good news from the doctor's office!

My dd16 had an appt. with my GYN yesterday, because she's been having terrible periods, with unbearable cramping, and sometimes even vomiting! It was her very first pelvic, and she was freaked about it, but the doc was wonderful about the whole thing!

Anyway, when we were "checking out" (paying co-pay, getting dd's prescriptions, etc.), my doc looked at me and said "So, when are you in for your pre-op?" I told her next Tuesday (Feb. 26th) and I have lots of questions for her! She asked her nurse to check and make sure I'm scheduled for a full half-hour so we'll have plenty of time!

She also told me that the nurse who usually assists with these things is out of work because of back surgery, so another doctor will be assisting. She said this should give me more peace of mind! I said another doc assisting is nice, but I don't need more peace of mind, because I trust her 100%!

She also gave me a "high five" for bringing my iron levels up to normal! (With hard work on her part as well as mine!)

So, even though I feel overwhelmed with all I have to get done this weekend, I'm feeling pretty good about things overall.

I'm in pain daily now from the fibroids, and while I know the post-op period will hurt, it will be a pain that has an ending! I'll be so glad to be done with this whole mess!

It sounds like you have a great relationship with your dr - that's wonderful

Best wishes, I hope that you can keep your pain under control. Hang in there, not much longer to wait now.
