Pre-op smoker Help!!!Surgery 01/10/11

I had a supracervical hyster w/removal of one ovary also via bikini incision. I must tell you, I am an x-smoker and I had c-sec's 27 years ago while I smoked. I had to hold a pillow over my incision so I could cough--yuk!!!! My last c-sec, 23 years ago and my surgery this past July was a completely different story. There was NO coughing. My lungs are clear and strong. I admire your courage to quit--it's the hardest thing I ever did and I encourage you to continue in your endeavor--you will feel so much better, it's almost hard to put into words. Every now and then, I still give thanks for not smoking. Good luck it's all worth it in the end.
