3 Months Still Incisioral Pain

I had surgery in September... and I am still have pain near my incision.. I have had abdominal surgery before to remove fibroids... My doctor says I am still healing.. I am still on pain meds and I hate taking them...I am on my feet alot when I work...and the meds are the only thing that helps me get through the day... I also get nausea from the meds... Is anyone else going through this???? Is there something else I can do or take???....

3 Months Still Incisioral Pain

I am not a doctor, but having pain that requires pain medication at this stage of the game does not sound normal. Did you have complications with this surgery? How fast did you have to go back to your "on your feet" job? When you had the fibriods removed, how fast did you heal? I am 2 months out, and my stomach is still tender, but not enough to take any pain medications....not even Motrin.

Anybody else experiencing what Gianna888 is?

I hope things improve for you!!

I agree with the others that have responded to you. 3 months is a long time to be taking meds after you surgery. I'm 5 weeks post-op from TAH and I may take 1 every so often but not every day. Mostly because I may have over did it one day. I would ask your doctor again about it. Good luck and hang in there. Hope things improve soon for you.
