Black pants no more!

It's been a month to date since surgery. I've been feeling a bit better every day. On the third week I over did it and paid for it almost immediately as pain came back with a vengeance sending me back to bed to absolute bed rest. I learned my lesson and I've started to move slowly but surely.

A few days ago, I felt strong enough to take inventory of my closet. Oh my God! I didn't realize how many pairs of black pants I owned. It was basically all I wore. My bleeding was so out of control (it sent me to the ER twice in less than 3 months) I couldn't think of wearing any other color to mask any "accidents" I might have.

At the far end of my closet, I found all the other colors: gray, khaki, beige, light brown, blue, pin stripes, non pin stripes, red, green... (believe me, the list is endless or so it feels!)

The best part is that because of all this craziness, I lost some weight. (We have to look at the positive side of things.) Some of my "forgotten clothes" now fit so well! I know it's not common and that a lot of people experience weight gain, but I'll try to eat less sugar and more veggies and see if that helps keep it off; and why not, maybe I can do some work outs as soon as I'm cleared to do so.

Anyway, it's exciting to think that I have a whole arrange of clothes and that I don't have to depend on black pants all the time. I can be colorful!

I also found a whole bunch of light-colored pants at the back of my closet. It's like shopping but not having to spend any money!

I think we can all rejoice in this. I know I began to wonder that people must know by my only dark pants wardrobe.

I was thinking that I didn't have to plan out when I can wear my white scrub pants to work! I can wear them any day!

Just before my 8 week check-up, I threw away the pair of blue pull-on pants that I'd been wearing a lot over the summer and especially since the surgery. While I never had that much bleeding post-op, and while I wore at least panti-liners for a while, I was always afraid something was going to happen.
