Anyone have a magical cure for gas ?

My poor belly is still soooo distended with gas ! I need a magical cure-all . I have taken several boxes of gas-x and I haven't noticed any change . It may even be getting worse. Any tips , advice , or magical cures would be great ! Thanks girls !

Anyone have a magical cure for gas ?

My best advice is to let it rip! For me that was the best feeling ever. When that didn't help, I used GasX. GOOD LUCK

Anyone have a magical cure for gas ?

Peppermint tea and acidophiles worked for me. I sipped the peppermint tea slowly several times a day and it really did help me feel better. Also, even though you may not feel like it too much, walk, walk and walk. I remember after my second surgery and I was just so uncomfortable. I had to force myself to walk, but that and the tea really helped.

Hugs,

The magic cure for me was lactulose. It was the only thing that helped me. It's behind the counter at the pharmacy and you don't need a prescription (at least not in Canada)
Good Luck!

Anyone have a magical cure for gas ?

Gas-X worked for me. A couple of other things that helped were avoiding soda and not using a straw to drink -- both cause additional gas.

Anyone have a magical cure for gas ?

Walking helped me to get the gas moving so I did it as much as I could but I only really suffered badly for the first couple of weeks. I also made sure that I ate freshe vegetables and beans and pulses daily to keep BM regular which helped the gas move too. Anything spicy is still causing me problems 5 weeks out. And I have avoided any fizzy drinks.

If you are still having this amount of trouble so far out I would be talking to my Dr.

Anyone have a magical cure for gas ?

Ugh, the dreadful gas pains! This was almost worse than the surgical pain! I suffered for about 3-4 weeks. I walked some but not for the first few weeks, too painful! Gas-X did nothing for me, anyone need some, I have tons?!?!

Try teas made with anise, peppermint, chamomile or fennel to relieve gas pains, pull your knees to chest while lying on back, massage your tummy with fennel oil

Gas x did not help me. I just drank peppermint tea and walking was the best for it. Just around the house.
