Leep Biopsy healed? Surgery on 20th?

Good Morning Ladies,

I am anxiously awaiting my pre-op appointment with my doctor tomorrow afternoon.

I had a d&c and leep biopsy in February and when I did my post op visit my doctor explained that I needed the hysterectomy but I had an infection and if I hadn't healed enough, my surgery would not happen on the 20th and it would have to be rescheduled.

I have talked to my "adult" daugher, lol, and she has taken time off work for the surgery so that she can help my husband take care of me, but I am in NY and she is in TX and I don't want to buy her plane ticket if I am not sure when the surgery is.

Don't get me wrong...my husband is AMAZING!!! But when it comes to lady parts, I would feel more comfortable with another female to assist.

But after talking to my almost 26 year old daughter, I am seriously considering finding a nursing service. My daughter has a really weak stomach and I worry how she will be able to handle a hip-to-hip (doctor says he is going to have to cut out 2 previous c-section incisions and scar tissue) TAH surgical site.

Hopefully all will go well and you can have your surgery.

DD won't really see your surgery site, but I understand that some people just can't get near that stuff.

My DH was wonderful! He stayed home with me for a week. He was really busy, as his Dad was in the hospital at the same time I was, and for a few days after I came home.
If I didn't have him look after me, I would prefer one of my sisters, as we are really close.

I met with my doctor for my pre-op exam and he said the infection that developed after my leep biopsy / d&c surgery in February was all healed and we can proceed with the TAH next Wednesday.
Now I am really nervous. lol
