Pinkish discharge 5 weeks post hysterectomy

Discharge had all but stopped, felt brilliant yesterday. Did too much, last night discharge pink, today orangey. Is this just from being too busy, on feet most of day, very achey today also? I'm worrying myself silly now I've done myself damage.

Re: Pinkish discharge 5 weeks out

I'm only 2 weeks out but had pink discharge and more pain than I've been having this morning. JUST called the doc, said that pink discharge is normal for the first 3 months, usually tied to doing too much the day before. Which…I am guilty of.

He also said that if it gets bright red or if its enough to go thru a panty liner in an hour or if the pain gets worse or fever, to get to the ER immediately.

Hope that helps. I was freaking out this morning until I talked to him…but now I feel better.

Re: Pinkish discharge 5 weeks out

Discharge at 5 weeks can also be the result of dissolving stitches (depending on the type of surgery you had). I had different colored discharge off and on for about 6 weeks.

Re: Pinkish discharge 5 weeks out

I'm starting my 5th week post op and I have the slightest discharge every day. Color varies. I think my doctor said to expect this for 6 weeks.
