Two weeks to go

Hey everyone, two weeks to go till my hysterectomy. I am wondering if there is anyone else out there who feels like I do.
Every now and then I start to feel unsure if this is the right thing to be doing . Then the next day I feel sure it is.
I think it may be just because it is a big op and there are risks involved . I have a close friend who had similar problems to mine and who shares the same doctor as me and she said that it was the best thing she ever did. She said even if she had no gynaecological problems she would do it over again !

I guess I just have to stay positive

Oh for sure, mine is on the 28th and Im the same way. One minute Im like "well the pelvic pain isnt that bad today should I really do this? And that question cross's my mind even though I was up from 11 till 2 am last night with really bad bowel/pelvic aches.

I know how you feel! I have been back and forth on it as well. My Mother and Girlfriend have both had it done and my Mom assures me I am going to love it!

Major surgery is not something we really want to undertake lightly.

I think it's normal to have doubts. I had cancer and still wondered. Now I am in my hospital bed the day after surgery and have to say it hasn't been that bad. The worrying is the hardest part.

Thanks girls....It is nice to know I am not alone. I have only had positive feedback from three of my friends who have had this done and they all say I am going to love it. I think it is just my fear of the unknown that is getting the better of me at the moment. I think I think of the worst case scenarios too much and have probably googled more than necessary but I would also rather know!!! Got to stay positive and know that I will heal well with no problems and best of all....no more periods haha. I am very active and train everyday running or at the gym and I am sure that that together with a positive attitude will help alot.
