7 Weeks since Hysterectomy - Questions re; HRT

Hi - I had my surgery about 7 weeks ago (total hysterectomy). Prior to my surgery, I was on HRT (premarin & progesterone) due to premature ovarian failure. I developed a cancerous polyp with diagnosis of endometrial cancer. It was caught in the very earlier stages and prognosis is excellent. This is why I had to have a hysterectomy. I feel like the HRT was the contributing factor to my endo ca and surgery. My doctor still feels I should take estrogen because I am still young (39), but I am nervous to do so (not sure what it might cause again...???). I haven't been taking any hormone pills and have very little night sweats, hot flashes (for now). My sleep patter is a little off, but manageable. Just looking for advice on HRT.....I'm so confused. One doctor says yes, another one says no. (see my confusion?...hehe)..I'm also looking for anything natural I can take. Thanks so much!!!!

Re: 7 Weeks since Hysterectomy - Questions re; HRT

The decision to take hrt or not is between you and your doctor based on your health and family history.

Here is a link to the Mayo Clinic on whether is hrt right for you?

I hope this helps some.
