LAVH Period smell 2 weeks post hysterectomy

I am 14 days post op (kept ovaries) and noticed in the last day or so a period type smell. I do have some light bleeding when I wipe , not sure if that is normal or if I've over done it. But the smell is as if I was on my period. Thoughts?

Light bleeding is totally normal at your stage in recovery. I didn't have any bleeding at all, but when I peed there was a really weird smell. I later realised it was the same smell as in the hospital, so I think it was some solution they used during the surgery. It didn't last for long.

My doctor told me around 2 weeks post op I would notice a smell and it would be from my dissolved stitches... I haven't hut that mark yet but I'm waiting 😊
