oh the menopause symptoms

I had a horrible night last night. Insomnia, night sweats, arghh...not to mention the emotional breakdowns.

I am hoping my right ovary kicks it back into gear soon. Has anyone gone on temporary HRT? I am in a high risk group for breast cancer because I had radiation in my chest area for hodgkins 3 years ago, so I really don't want to go on it...but I don't know how long I can live this way.

Do your doctors recommend that you don't go on HRT? My doctor has talked to me about the "estrogen causes breast cancer" theory. He believes that the study was flawed, and many doctors do not believe that estrogen=breast cancer. I am not a doctor, but I suggest that you have a heart to heart with a specialist in the field. I know how miserable life sweats are, hang in there.
