I had my five week checkup yesterday and everything is normal, normal normal!! I got some answers to my questions..like everything was benign which is great and for the sharp pains I get in my thighs=its because the retractors they use to open you up can cause a pinched nerve type of thing for thigh, there was a medical name but I don't remember. Also said to stay the complete 8 weeks out of work.....said that if insurance companies would let women who have hysterectomies stay out longer, it would be beneficial. He said there were many studies of scar tissue at three, six and twelve months and at three months, its "vulnerable" still no nookie for a few weeks.....said the longer the better, just being on the cautious side I guess (which is fine by me...LOL) so thats it for me...thanks for listening.

Great news! Benign is a great answer. I loved hearing it myself. Normal is a lovely term isn't it? The pain in the thighs answer makes so much sense, thanks for asking it. I forgot when I was there. Take all 8 weeks! Enjoy it, continue to rest. Heal now and not have problems later.
Always happy to listen to a fellow sister.
