No more cervix.. intimacy

I had a prolapsed cervix and could easily insert one finger to the first knuckle to feel the cervix.. It has been 8 almost 9 weeks post op and I have not been able to want intercourse due to fear. I finally went to check to see what things felt like in there and was pleasantly surprised that it did not feel mutated. I guess I thought the vaginal cuff would hurt. Its not bad. So my next question is this, if it did not hurt for me to touch it, do you think having intimacy would?

I know this is but I'm really curious. Can you explain what it feels like .... like do you feel just a gaping whole ... or does the vag cuff semi replace the cervix. I am only 2 weeks post-op and can not check yet, but the curiosity is killing me!

Ok.. so if you have felt your cervix then you know what it feels like on the vaginal canal (walls) leading up to the cervix right? Well it actually feels like that with a scar.. have you ever had a scar from a cut and felt it after it healed up? Its like that. Its simply the vaginal canal "all the way around".. does that help?

If your doctor ok'd for sex you should be ok. Just take it slow and easy (yep!!!) the first time to be safe. If it uncomfortable yet stop and try again a few days or so later. Best wishes. Hope all works out for you.
