Posterior Repair

Hi all,
I am scheduled for a LAVH BSO Posterior Repair on May 19th. I think I have finally gotten myself ready mentally for the LAVH BSO part of it, but not the posterior part.
Has anyone gone through this and can shed some light on it for me? I am worried about the pain and recovery time, and I just want to be able to have a normal poo!

Posterior Repair

I had TVH and posterior repair 4 mths ago, I really had a lot of back aches post op for about 3 mths. I am doing well now and no problems going to the bathroom, for me it was a long recovery but worth it. My sister had the same thing and hardly had any pain after, everyone is so different! Best of Luck!

Posterior Repair

I had a posterior and anterior repair w/my hysterectomy. The A & P didn't hurt anymore than my abdomen. It didn't hurt to have a bm either.

Thank you for your replies. Does the posterior repair add extra time on to the recovery period, or is it the same amount?

Posterior Repair

Hi, I had a TVH, A&P repair and TOT sling 8 days ago.....I have absolutely no pain.....I am taking stool softeners and eating a high fiber diet and have no problem in the BM department. The only medication I've taken since I came home is my antibiotic.....I had a few period type cramps and I took an extra strength tylenol. I actually feel fantastic..a little tired but OH so much better than before. Grace
