Re: 6 days post op..... Is this normal?

I'm 12 days post op and still hesitant to go back to " normal" eating habits. I find that the portions I am eating are way smaller and get full quicker. I think it's best to stick to a simple bland diet for a while until our stomachs have a chance to readjust. And from what I'm reading that may take a while. Hang in there though, you're not alone.

Same here, I can't eat as much. I don't have a stomach ache but I notice I cannot eat as much and feel nauseous if I try to force it.

Re: 6 days post op..... Is this normal?

It's so strange, but many sisters report their favorite foods no longer appeal to them after surgery. This happened to me so I tried to sample new foods and turn a negative into a positive.

Like the others suggested, stick with small portions and small meals throughout the day. You'll feel like a stuffed sausage if you attempt to eat three full meals a day.

It does and will get better with time.
