TVH We had sex! :)

Hopefully this isn't tmi, but sex after my hysterectomy was such a big concern for me before my surgery. I was so afraid things wouldn't be the same. I know so many others feel the same.

I had my 6 week post op check up on Monday. The Dr said all was well and I could resume my normal activities and sex.

I was just so nervous to try Monday since I was 2 days shy of 6 weeks. So we waited until last night. I put it on the calendar, so my hubby thought about it all week. We did fool around during the week. Had oral sex and I was able to have an orgasm and it was great and felt just like old times.

So when last night came I was nervous, but excited too. I had a few glasses of wine so I would relax. We just took it really slow. Defanatly not crazy wild sex, but just slow and easy. I had no pain or discomfort, no spotting after. My hubby said it felt great and not any different. I didn't notice the vaginal cuff, but like I said it wasn't any crazy action. I'm still nervous about doing it again, but I'm looking forward to getting back to our fun and loving sex life.

Just wanted to give you ladies a positive post op post. The whole hysterectomy journey can be scary, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

I had my hysterectomy on Oct. 16th (3 1/2 wks ago). We have a getaway wkd planned for big day!! After my 2 wk post op the doctor said I was healing great and after hearing all the rumors and old wives tales about not being able to have orgasms after having both ovaries removed, I decided to find out for myself.... We didn't have sex, and we also followed doctors orders not to stick anything in the vagina and yes! I was able to have an orgasm! at 43 yo this was important to me.

Hi ladies I have officially just been cleared! Wanted to give my encouragement O has been great to not have the pain to follow it up with!! Will have to post an update once I try out the new me!!!!

i am so worried about this, i have my post op on the 21st i hope he gives me the ok.!!

Went for my post op last tues I was cleared for everything but I was told Around thanksgiving in dissapointed but thinking it was because of the cuff cellulitis I had 3 weeks ago thanks for encouraging reports I'm getting a little antsy lol
