Dull, intermittent ache
Okay- anyone had this? I've starting getting a dull intermitten ache on my right side. It starts in the back about waist level and sometimes radiates to the front right over hip bone. Muscle ache?
Should add that I had TAH with a vertical incision, starting just below naval. Recovery has been remarkedly smooth and I'm active. I was at a Labor Day party yesterday from 2:00 til 9:00. Was tired today, also have been doing some shopping since about Wednesday. Going out each morning and returning about noon. This isn't overdoing it, is it?

Hmmm, sounds like you've been pretty busy, IMHO. Vertical incision might mean greater stress on back muscles and hips while recovery is taking place? Not that going to a party should have hurt that, but gee, sitting up so long sounds as if it might have created a series of muscle spasms, to my thinking. I hope it goes away soon! Good for you for getting out, but take care of yourself, too!

I think it might be a case of too much too soon. Although I had a fantastic recovery, I would not have been ready for a 7 hour party at your stage of the game. Add to that the shopping you've been doing and that equals fatigue and pain. According to everything I've read at Hystersisters and been told by my dr, you need the entire 6 weeks to heal. Some gals need more.
