4 days after hysterectomy

Surgery went great. Pain was bearable. It was hard to pee. I would pee I tiny bit and then go right back in again and pee the same 15 minutes later. Did that all day the day after surgery. My only real pain was the gas. Had very hard time passing the gas. They gave me gas X and tried to walk but that really hurt. Took all day to get that first fart out and it felt AMAZING! lol. Once I got the gas out and was taking my pain meds I was feeling fine. I'm on day 4 and I haven't taken any pain meds sense last night at dinner. Trying not to because now I can't use the bathroom (not pee) lol. The cuts on my stomach look really good and the bruising is fading.
The doctor came in the day after surgery and told me that the fibroid that was a little bigger then a golf ball when it was last measured Nov. 3rd was almost the size of a softball on Feb 3rd. I also had Endometriosis. That's what was causing my sharp pains that sent me to the doctor in the first place. I went because if the sharp pains and the found the fibroid. had hysterectomy because of the fibroid. During surgery found reason for the sharp pain. Funny how it all worked out.

Glad you have done so well. I had problems with #2's as well.. ended up having to take docolax (however spelled). Great job! And remember (because I didnt listen) just because u feel better doesnt mean you are completely healed.

I was telling my 8 year old daughter that "yes it looks good on out side with bruising fading and pain is bearable, but I am still healing inside. They took out some of my insides and everything is healing. I am doing good because I am being careful". Just had that speech this morning. She was asking if I would be able to take her to the State Fair sense I was doing so good. LOL Not this year!
