biggest fear- no it's not surgery

Thanks Weiser.I've tried to a search for endo specialists in my area and can't find one anywhere. I'm just going to have to trust God and my doctor to remove all the endo and that it won't come back. Thanks so much for your support!!! This forum is certainly making this journey alot easier

biggest fear- no it's not surgery

Vcille,
What does your pain feel like. My dr said I have adhesions and possibly endo. I had a 17cm endometrima in 2006 but thats the only type of endo that I know i've had. I was just wondering if the pain I've been having for the past few months could also be endo. I've had ultrasounds and colonoscopy and everything was ok. It's a constant pain on my left side, my thigh, my back, bladder, and bowels. I go to the surgeon on Tuesday to discuss what to do. Thanks for any input

biggest fear- no it's not surgery

I was diagnosed in 2001 with stage 4 endo. At That time I wanted a hyster, but my Dr talked me out of it due to my age, and he didn't feel it was as bad as it was. After my lap/ excision, he told my DH that he should hav gone ahead and done the hyster then, it was that bad. Well after the lap, I was ok for a while, on BC to control things, then other meds after the BC quit working. Then after those quit, I just pushed through the pain, and lived my life. For the last 6 1/2 years, I have lived in daily pain. Finally broke down, and scheduled my LAVH, had everything removed on May 21, and could not be happier about havig it done. However, the wekk beore my surgery, I was coming up with every excuse in the book not to have this done. I was worried they wiuldn't find as much as i thought they would, worried about the recovery period, scared to death about having the surgery done. It is normal to be scared, and have doubts. Only you can say how much pain you are actually in, and if this is the right choice for you. You know your body better than anyone else, and you know what you can and cannot tolerate.
Best wishes with your decision, and good luck
