back from seeing the Dr.

Well, I went to see my gyn this morning about my bladder issues and the fact that the pain is still pretty bad when "I am up walking for more than 15 min. Also talked to him about my insomnia. This is what he said:
1. bladder- my bladder was traumatized during surgery because of the difficulty he had and it is going to take time for it to get back to normal
2. intense pelvic floor pain and low back pain when I walk-
he said that it has only been 6 weeks and yes while some people heal enough at 6 weeks to get around and do laundry, cooking and return to work that is not the case with alot of people. He reminded me(like I don't remember) that I lost alot of blood before and during surgery and he did have a more difficult time getting everything out than he normally did. So he said to give it a few more weeks. Basically to be patient. Easier said than done.
3. Insomnia- I had done some research that stated that if you have insomnia and weepiness that your estrogen level could be to high. He did not seem to think that was the case but couldn't come up with anything else either. So I asked him to give me a lower dose of vivelle patch. He did do that.

Why do I feel like I have wasted my time riding in a vehicle and walking that distance to his office(all of which make me hurt more). Right now I am so discouraged because thought I would be SO MUCH BETTER by now and I am not.
I know that I really had no choice but to have the hysterectomy as I bleed for 3 months non stop and it was really bad. Everything else he tried had absolutely no effect. But right now I wish that I had not gone down this road. Yes, I know in a few months when I am up and going again I will probably feel different but right now I am miserable and tired of crying.

Re: back from seeing the Dr.

Know how you feel, even with different issues.
My last office visit was a t 3 months. I tried to tell the DR the issues I was having. Her answer was " use the estrace more". She said to try that for 2 weeks and let her know if there was any difference, the maybe we would finally do the MRI. Otherwise, don't come back for 3 more months.
When I called her after 2 weeks, she tried to tell me I was to wait 3 months.
Really feel like she just wants me to go away.
By the way, the DR's office is over an hour away.

Re: back from seeing the Dr.

I was a very slow healer. I did rest completely, other than my walks every other hour, for the 8 weeks. I am so glad that I did because everything healed great. I know it is boring & hard to just take it easy but that is what is best for you. Go through your photo albums, read some good book, start a new hobby would be my suggestions. It really does just take time but you will get there. Best wishes!
