I am so glad that you contacted the doctor. It never hurts to ask them. I am glad that they know what it is and how to help you if it doesn't improve. Wishing you all the best in your recovery and hopefully the pain will disappear very soon.
I know what you mean about exercise. I have exercised for years but found after the surgery I had to back off a little bit. It took time for me to get back to pre-surgical level and now I am back to where I was and I think I have even improved. My doctor is very much into fitness so that helps.
