Binders for vertical incision total abdominal hysterectomy

Hi Ladies, I'm looking to buy binders, but it read in one of the forums that the ones offered by the Hyster Sister website may not be the best for vertical incisions. Your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This is a bit late but I did buy the binders from the Hystersisters and found them to be a Godsend for me, I only stopped wearing them a couple of weeks ago but still will put one on when I go out for extra support. I had some very comfortable full brief panties which covered my vertical incision and then I put the hystersisters binder on, I must admit I had a preference for the one without the pockets that hold the ice/heat packs, as it was softer cause it didn't have the lining to hold the icepacks in. But that was my preference. Hope your recovery is going well

Yes I Had A TAH on May 13 with a vertical incision but I had brought me one from here but while I was in recovery the doctor had put one on me and I will say I like both of them but I use the one from the hospital to walk around in the house and the one from here to go out because its not as wide as the one from the hospital yet I still use them and it been 4 weeks...it has really kept my belly from.staying so.swollen...belly almost back to normal....Good Luck But Get you A Binder..it will become your friend...Take Care!!
