Bowel prep humor?

Yes, I'm home from the castle. I gave the hospital the right ovary and fallopian tube, one lef-side cyst and the blood supply of one fibroid. In return I received some funky support hose, some slipper socks, a nice garment bag -- and percocet! I felt it was a fair trade ;-).

I'm feeling pretty good today and planning on going to class for an hour!

YOur friends fast sounds pretty radical! Me, if I ever went on a liquid fast, I'd certainly take a variety of liquids, and would only be fasting for one day. And no, I wouldn't do it during surgery recovery.

Talk about eating light before hand. I have already tapered my diet 1 week ahead of schedual. (Which is annoying becuase ice cream really soothes my soul) ). My mother and my brother have decided to come in from out of town and will be stationed on my couch just a few feet from my thin doored bathroom. I am one of those people who can't even stand the thought of pooping let alone have people listening to me do it for hours and hours and hours. I can't wait @@.

Honestly, about an hour after your first dose of laxatives, your pooping will sound more like pee-ing. The stuff goes right through you. Try not to be embarrassed. Your family will understand.

FYI: When doing my prep, I loved the Swanson's 33% less sodium, no MSG chicken broth. I also drank bunches of 100% juice juices. I tried jello, but it didn't sit well. I also took about 3-4 tagamet that day to minimize stomach acid, which also helps with the sore bottom.

Wish mine worked so fast. I had nothing happen with the first dose of Fleets. Then, 20 minutes after the second, I live on the throne! I remember getting up and getting five feet down the hall and SPRINTING back and barely making it!

Got to admit that it was better than the first time I did a bowel prep for a lower GI. Don't remember exactly what it was, some solution, some pills and an enema for good measure. Took the first dose and got into the shower. Made it to the toilet, but it was a bit before I could get the shower turned off!
