2 months post hysterectomy and still having pain

My belly is still swollen and sore. Dr said at this point I shouldn't have any pain. Also it hurts when I empty my bladder.
anyone else have anything similar? I go for a CT scan on Jan 8th. ....

Re: 2 months and still having pain

I sorry to hear you're still swollen and sore. For some of us these issues can linger on, and it's frustrating and disappointing. It's good your doctor is sending you for CT and hopefully you have some answers soon. Please update us and let us know how you're doing. Sending hugs that you will feel better soon!

Surgery was 11/5/14. I am still having pain. Dr did ultrasound and found fluid in my lower abdomen. I went yesterday for ct scan. They are suppose to call me once they figure out what is going to happen. I am concerned because I am suppose to go back to school on the 12th.
Hope you get it taken care of asap.

Re: 2 months and still having pain

Going into 8 weeks post-op.
I have been experiencing twinges of pain from my left ovary. I think it's because I had an ovarian cyst before my uterus was removed, and my doctor said it would simply shrink up and go away.
It comes and goes, and it's not enough to make me nervous--Ibuprofen seems to get rid of it, but it's strange to feel these sensations when I'm not menstruating anymore.
I've mostly noticed bouts of anger. LOL I seem to have a shorter fuse than I used to. Has anyone else had this problem?
HAPPY NEW YEAR, SISTERS!!!

I think doctors just assume that everything will be better at 8 weeks. My doctor was more realistic and told me 6 months. 6 months came and I still had pain. At 11 Months, the pain has subsided a lot and it just comes and goes now.
My bladder still hurts if I go before it is full. The muscles are probably still not healed fully yet in my case.

It is good that you are getting a ct to see if something else is going on.
