3.5 weeks post hysterectomy: Increased discomfort and spotting when constipated

i have found that when my bowels are not moving normally (at least once a day) I am much more uncomfortable and have increased spotting. Anyone else? I'm eating healthy, drinking prune juice and water and tea and have to use a stool softener w mild stimulant in order to keep it moving. Very frustrated!

Yes - I'm 5.5 weeks post and I had stopped the colace - bad move. I stopped spotting last week but yesterday had a difficult BM and now I'm bleeding and back to pain meds and putting my feet up!

This happens to me too and I am almost 6 weeks post op. I have kept up with the stool softeners because I am so nervous that it will happen again. So far so good (knock on wood).
