Back From the Doctor

Well I went to see my regular gyn today for post op visit after DNC. My cervix continues to stay open and nobody seems to know why. She said it has been miracle that I haven't gotten a serious uterine infection. Oh I guess it will be just another thing that I will continue to worry about. I will see my actual surgeon (regular gyn's DH) on Wednesday to set my date. I am so ready to get this over with. She said that I would probably be having my bladder tacked up also. I don't know anyone who has had that done so if anybody knows anything about it please help me out cause I am beginning to stress. She also said that my ovaries will stay even though I am in premature menopause. She claims that even if I just get a trickle from them every once and a while it better than nothing. I really don't understand why because of my PCOS and she said that there would be a possiblity of having to have surgery later to remove since. Sounds crazy to me but I am not the DR.

Wish me luck on Wednesday and thanks for all of your help during this very stressful time.

P.S. Can they do a bladder tack vaginally?

Hi Shannon,

Will your doctor be able to remove any large cysts on the ovaries during your hysterectomy? I'm sorry, I know you want them out. I really do think it is an age thing.

Fingers are crossed here that you stay well. If you don't have an infection by now, I think you've got it made.

Many bladder repairs here on this site. What will you have, a sling? Just saw that surgery on Berman and Berman tonight. Really easy and done in 15 mins.

Hang in there, and here comes more s. Oh ya, and lots of luck on Wednesday!
