Pathology Report

What info did your pathology report contain? Did the pathologist measure and report sizes? Mine does not contain any numerical figures, and I found that odd. (but I am not a pathologist also, wouldn't a pathology report mention fibroids that had been previously identified from U/S? What does "irregularly oovid" mean?

Thanks!

Re: Pathology Report

Mine started with a section called Clinical history which was the tissue removed and the operation done.
Then there was a box that had a final diagnosis with description of the tissue removed (Uterus, fibroid, and the top of the cervix).
Then it went into what is called a gross description with much more detail. It gave size, number of fibroids and a description of my uterus as well as the cross sections of the fibroids. It was in that section that I found out that the fibroid had "obliterated the endometrial canal." It reinforced my decision to have the surgery.
I think that irregularly oovid means that it was not a uniform oval but rather a bumpy oval shape. Hope this helps.
