My Pre-Op appt today

I went today and asked my list of questions!! I am having my uterus and cervix removed, keeping ovaries. I don't have to drink anything for a bowel prep but do have to use a supository the night before... that should be fun.

After my dr appt I talked to the scheduling nurse in the office. I thought I was done after that but then she sent me to the hospital to do paperwork an EKG and a blood draw. At least it is in the same building!!

Anyway, it ended up being a longer day than I thought, but at least things are all in order for Wednesday!! Boy am I getting nervous!!

Good Luck on Wednesday Beth!! I hope everything goes great and you are back to your old self or shall I say "NEW" self soon.

Well Beth you're down to the wire! The waiting is the hardest part. I ran around the house like a mad woman cleaning and organizing to make things easier for my recuperation. I did a large grocery shopping to stock the fridge and got some light reading to keep me entertained. And just before the surgery I did some fun things with the family and I had a "Pamper Me" day. I had my hair cut and colored, my nails done and a pedicure!! After the surgery everyone told me how great I looked. Though I may not have felt as great as I looked it was still good to hear it!!
