Sammy,

When my DH and I had "outercourse" I had that same feeling something was missing, like the uterus contractions. I even cried once telling my DH "I was broken and wanted my parts back!!" BUT when we had intercourse, I did not had that feeling at all BIG "O" was just as great as before!!!! I think the vaginal walls contract like when you do Keigel exercises.

So, have fun and don't worry. It will be great!!!

Even at 6 weeks, there was no way I was ready for intercourse. It took me 9 weeks until I felt the swelling and pain go away. Don't be in a big hurry and let yourselves heal, because it will be better in the long run. Be safe and good healing to you all!

Hi girls..... just to let you know hubby and I did the deed last night...... if this is TMI do not read on. (I was cleared on Tuesday by surgeon and will be 6 weeks on 23rd)

I think my apprehension that there would be pain was the biggest issue, although I have to say there was none !! Although the whole delightful session was of a very timid and gentle nature !! It was so funny when hubby was saying "don;t worry I'll be gentle"..... we both broke down in fits of giggles and laughter !!! and I became much more relaxed as things progressed.

I've struggled with coping with not just the physical efects of this surgery, but the emotional trauma too (emergency hyst) and finally I can see the light at the end of the tunnel of getting back to some semblance of normality.

Take care ladies
