Hmmm...

Maybe it has something to do with the estrogen patch coming off?

I would call the doctor to see if that is what happened.

Take care!

I am glad that you are home and doing well.

I also had lots of sweating the night after my surgery and also have had hot flashes regularly thereafter.
I am taking estrace as both ovaries were removed, and the MD indicated this was normal. However, I would call your for a new patch.
Take care and lots of fluids. Make sure you a little to help avoid

Pamper yourself as much as you can and allow your loved ones to do the same.

Diana...welcome home! Definitely call your dr. about getting a new patch! Also, since you have 'crossed over', check out some of the threads on the post-op board! You can do a search on sweating, too, for other womens' experiences! The Hormone Jungle may have info for you too! Congratulations on your crowning! Sue

Hi and welcome home!

I'm surprised that your doctor did not discuss HRT with you before your surgery. DEFINITELY call the doctor right away and tell them that you are having symptoms and that your patch is off. They will probably prescribe something for you immediately!

Monitor your reactions to whatever they give you, and be sure that you establish a timetable to discuss the effects with your doctor, maybe at your post-op checkups. Your HRT should be controlled and monitored, not randomly administered. I hope you get some answers....PLEASE do call in the morning. There is no reason to be suffering.
