Ducks in a row

I think I have all my ducks in a row and prepared for surgery on Thursday.

I had my second hematology appointment to read the blood work results and make the plan for pre and post op.

At this point I just have to deal with the sticky platelet issue for which I learned to give myself a shot since I will be giving myself Lovenox for 6 weeks post op. LOVELY but in the scheme of things certainly doable. Guess I have found a reason why it is nice to have a little bit of 'fluff' around the middle instead of a nice toned stomach. That is my excuse right now. HA!

Now I am just getting little details taken care of as far as grocery shopping, house cleaning and other mundane things that will be nice not to worry about after Thursday.

I feel like I am in the home stretch ... sort of.

Re: Ducks in a row

You sound like you're getting everything prepared nicely before your surgery. Remember to rest, rest. Once you get home. Good luck with the surgery and recovery.

Good luck to you! I just learned today that I will have to have minimum of 2 weeks of Lovenox also, it will be interesting giving myself that shot!
