Feeling something is falling out!

I am feeling discouraged tonight. I am 3 months post hysterectomy. I still have my ovaries. I feeling like something is falling out. During intercourse.. I feel like my husband is hitting my pelvic bone. Severe Vaginal dryness. The weight gain is Awful. 2 lbs a week. I am working out and eating right. Any Suggestions? I have a appointment with my OB in a few weeks. I also have a appt. with a hormone Dr. Do I still need hormone replacement with my ovaries present? Thanks!!

Re: Feeling something is falling out!

!!

Please do not feel discouraged. You are among sisters and I am so happy that you found us!

The thing to remember is healing especially after a hysterectomy is that this is a true journey. Perhaps journal what you are going through along with your symptoms so you have something to refer back to when talking with your doctor in a few weeks. Even though you have your ovaries, it could be they are still trying to figure out what they want to do. It might be they are trickling with hormone. Hormone level testing (FSH) is another good place to start as it will give that indication.

Bring up the sensations that you are feeling not only with your doctor but also your spouse. That way you are comfortable. Here is an article that might provide a little insight Vaginal Dryness after Hysterectomy and Resuming Intimacy after Hysterectomy .

If you feel you need an appt sooner, maybe call them also.

Please let us know how you are doing!
