Anyone else pass sutures at week4-5?

Noticing this week that I am passing sutures. No bleeding or other problems. So, I assume it's normal.

I passed one at around a month post-op that I remember seeing. It isn't unusual that some see more. They have to come out sometime.

I had to speak with my doctor about this as I am almost 7 weeks and have yet to see stitches. He told me the I wouldn't with the suture he used, and that I will have a slight clear discharge (which I have, very little almost unnoticeable) because the suture turns into a liquid as it dissolves.

I'm almost 7 weeks and I haven't seen any sutures either. My doctor said that he used 180 day sutures on me...wonder if that means they will be in there for 6 mos... I would think that would make them fairly permanent...wouldn't the tissue grow around them...I'm stumped!

Your body eventually will absorb them.

Re: Anyone else pass sutures at week4-5?

Thanks. I wasn't going to call the doctors office, but, I think now I will. My post op appointment isn't until next week. I've seen them a few times now and quite a few of them. My only issues right now are still a little swelly belly a couple times a day, seems to come and go. Sometimes a little burning in my belly and sometimes a heavy swollen feeling at my vagina. So much that taking stairs is harder and I am slower. I haven't thought much of it because It seems so common from everybody's posts. Starting to get a little bit nervous. I think I'm just going to stay off my feet today
