Feel useless

2 way tape Kaatie? That is hilarious! Now why didnt I think of that?
Robyn, please be careful. You Dr has given you good advice about what to do and what not to do. Please follow it no matter how hard.
Ask those inlaws to come over and take your dtr so that you can get a break. You need it and deserve it.
Believe me if you overdo you will pay the price.
Blessings

Feel useless

Hi There !!!

I know how you feel !! My husband is an engineer and started traveling for his job when I was 8 months pregnant with our second son (who now is 13 years old). I underwent gallbladder surgery when my boys were 3 and 8 months old, the old fashion surgery (the incision is from Canada to Mexico) LOL My husband was not around much, my mom came and helped. I wasn't doing so well so my DD gave me approval to go to my mom's house 8 hours away. At that time she was still working. Last year I had foot surgery and was not allowed to bath, shower, walk or stand for three weeks !!!!! Sponge bathes SUCK !!!!! I was bound to a chair or a wheelchair to even get to the bathroom. I am now having a TAH on June 12th. My kids will not be home, oldest in Texas with in-laws and youngest with my parents in Kentucky. My mom and youngest son will be coming back here 5 days post-op. My mom will be here 2 weeks, then my youngest son has been told he will be the housekeeper. He already cleans his room and bathroom plus washes dishes nightly. I know he can do it, but I can't stand things not done my way. I have already resolved the fact to let things so, as long as the house is picked up and vacuumed I will get to it after July 24th, that's my 6 week post-op.
Do you have a women's church group??? If so, contact them. They could bring meals over and do light housework. I have done that many times for ladies in my church. If you work outside the home, contact your co-workers and ask them. My mother-in-law is great, but lacks the ability to pick up hints. Even when said directly to her !!!! Although she lives in Texas, she tries.
take it easy !!!!!!
God Bless you !!!
