first time post-op "Doing the deed"

I am contemplating a new relationship and I am scared stiff.
He knows about my surgery but still...
at this point I have not much desire but hopefully that will change.

I'm really nervous too! My pelvic exam at 5.5 weeks was still tender and a bit painful, so my ob/gyn told me to wait a "couple more weeks" before trying, and then to be sure to use lots of "inebriation and lubrication" (she has a great sense of humor) :-) Things weren't great before the surgery thanks to painful intercourse and a general lack of desire on my part due to cancer treatment. So it's been quite awhile. Honestly, I'm not even certain how to start - I'm feeling a bit rusty!

Oh, my doc said 6 weeks and half way, kinda scary! My twin sister's doc said if the guy can feel the stitches with his finger, it's a no!
