skin around anus

I have a brown ring or area around my anus that I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it was, no pain involved. I have had some trouble with hemmroids. thanks

I have had the same problem...my hemmoroids are really bad and i am swollen around that area...but also up front too....they say it is vaginal atrophy and dryness due to lack of estrogen..there is a cream you can get from the doctor and or estrogen tablets..

I have the same thing. It happened with my last pregnancy umpteen years ago. I did say something to my Dr. as this is quite embarrassing. I am very fair and to have that brown skin down there is crazy. She only said it was something hormonal (didn't elaborate) and that maybe a Dermatologist could recommend a bleach cream. I cannot see myself going to a Dermatologist about this problem, so if anyone can come up with a solution, I would love to know.
