What are the things on the legs?

Morningrain, you are too funny!!! But seriously, you will be pretty out of it from the pain meds and the SCDs probably won't even be an issue for you. Just more incentive to get up and moving!!!!

What are the things on the legs?

Morningrain, You made me chuckle!! Speaking as one of the "chicken littles", I know what you mean about the sedation!! Thank you Princesses for the reassurance, but I'm going to need to be calmed too.

What are the things on the legs?

i too suffer from claustophobia, panic attacks and anixety.also i was born with severe foot turn out. so they had "broke" both ankles and i was in casts for a long long time..anyway because of that, i CANT STAND to have anything on my ankles!!! DH cant even touch them with out me flipping out and kicking. so i too was in a panic about the things. after surg. i woke up and they were on. i could barely notice them plus there was so much other stuff going on the only thing i did notice was the "breathing" noise lol . and this is from a girl who cant even stand a blood pressure cuff.YOU will fine

What are the things on the legs?

Hey morningrain!

Imagine that the leg compressors are that handsome male nurse massaging your legs. Try that to see if it works! I wish I had thought of it when I was in the hospital!
