Is it hot out, or is it just me?

Since my surgery, every once in a while I feel like I have a fever, but I don't. I kept my ovaries, but I'm wondering if I could be having hot flashes anyway. I heard that the ovaries can go into shock due to the trauma of surgery (and one of mine had to have a lot of endometriosis scraped off of it).

Is it hot out, or is it just me?

I'm 8 wks. post op and I felt the same way. I felt like I was burning up, would take temp and none. I think it must be a common thing. I kept my ovaries too.

Is it hot out, or is it just me?

Hi tgio,
I did this too. I kept my ovaries and for the first few weeks I had intermittent hot flashes. They come and go now, but mostly are gone. I can tell I'm dealing with some hormone fluctuations, but nothing I can't live with.

Is it hot out, or is it just me?

My doctor said that they were "healing" hot flashes instead of the normal meno. ones. I guess they go away eventually

Is it hot out, or is it just me?

I had a total hysterectomy, and am having lots of hot flashes now, which is doubly fun when living in Phoenix, where temps are normally 110 or so. I took my temp too, thinking surely it must show up on the thermometer. I also tried just putting the thermometer on my skin, that feels so hot. Nothing shows. I'm taking an over the counter thing called New Phase Complete. No help yet. It's sposed to help hot flashes. Also got a new product called Be Koool Hot Flashes - a gel strip you attach to the back of your neck during a flash. Best thing I've found so far is one of those little portable fans, you can hold right in front of your face (or on your legs, or back of your neck, etc.etc).
Hope these flashes don't go on forever. Best of luck to you!

Me too. I am also having the "fun" hot flashes. I am also having really bad night sweats. No FUN!
