Anyone else also have an ostomy?

I have a urostomy- this means I had my bladder removed 14 years ago. I am looking to talk to other with an ostomy that had the surgery or will have the surgery. I am so afraid they will screw up things with my ostomy when they do the surgery.

Anyone else also have an ostomy?

Good day dear lady..... I've not run accross anyone who has had this particular proceedure, but that doesn't really count for much. Have you tried to search the hystersister site for any threads about what you've asked? Just go to the little globe up top and search the entire site.

Best of luck to you, and try to think positively. It's good for the soul... Also, I'd sit down and have a good long chit chat with any and all of the doctor's involved in your upcoming surgery and express your fears and concerns. Remember that YOU are paying THEM.

Best of luck and let us know how things progress.

ostomy

I had an ileostomy in my mid 20's and am now in my mid 50's and was told just yesterday that I need to have a hysterectomy. I am concerned with the same thing that you were and so is my gynochologist. Would love to know how you made out. Would you pleas write and let me know. My doctor has me getting information about prior surgery before she will consider doing the surgury and will insist on having a surgeon with her when it will be done.

Thank you for a reply
