Endometrial hyperplasia

Anyone else receive diagnosis of endometrial hyperplasia? Any information would be helpful. Thanks a bunch!

Hyperplasia is abnormal and could develop into endometrial cancer, but it usually is slow-growing and other treatments can be tried first before a hyst. It's helpful to get a second opinion from another dr before deciding a hyst is your best option. s and best wishes!

I had the same diagnosis. I'm 49 and childless, but at this age . . . Plus, I was peri-menopausal, and had some other annoying symptoms. I had the hyst -- they took everything, and the path report came back fine. The found some precancerous stuff but nothing had gone anywhere.

I guess it depends on your age and if you are finished having your children.

Thank you for your response. Can you describe your annoying other symptoms? I have had so many little things that I believe I can attribute to perimenopause. Have you taken HRT and were your ovaries and cervix involved? Did you know beforehand that the dr was going to take everything?
