Hysterectomy was 17th of Nov. still in pain..how long does it take to go away.

I had an open abdomanal hysterectomy on the 17th. I was discharged from the hospital on the 20th. I had to request more pain management due to still in pain. About how long are you experiencing pain after a surgery like mine?

At 10 days postop, I still had pain if I did too much, like going to walmart, and had to take narcotics. After 2 weeks, I only took tylenol and pain was manageable. Now after 4 weeks, I don't have pain, just discomfort when moving too much.

Give yourself time, you're only 10 days after major surgery
