Is it okay to have sex if I am careful ?

From reading this site it appears most are not getting the ok until at least 6 weeks after surgery- even then some are regretting it as issues have come up. Always check with your doctor but three weeks sounds awfully early- you can tear stitches and make the recovery time even longer- please ask your doctor!

You need to talk to your doctor. It depends on how much work you had done, whether or not you have a vaginal cuff, and whether or not you have healed internally. Only your doctor can tell you when it's okay.

Sometimes some are cleared for outercourse , call dr and ask.

I know this is too much info but I already did it and am concerned that it will somehow affect my recovery. I didn't have any pain and he didn't go all the way inside of me. .. just enough for the tip to be inside. Think I should be worried?

Yes, you are right to be worried. Your biggest risk right now is infection. Call your doctor and explain. It won't be the first time s/he has heard this and it won't be the last. In the meantime, here's an article you might find interesting.

It's never ok until you have clearance from your doctor. There's a risk of infection with any level of penetration. The slightest movements during penetration can hinder recovery from pulling/pushing internally. Shallow penetration can pull internal stitches loose even if there isn't actual contact from your DH's penis on the cuff.

I know how difficult it is but seriously if you can wait please do. Even though you have already done it a little you do not want to get a bacterial infection. They suck trust me! I was four weeks out, fooled around the same way you did and wound up getting a bacterial infection even though the hubs and I thought we were being careful, clean ect. Wound up on antibiotics for a week and felt miserable. Good luck hon and call the doctor. They will let you know what you can do. And if you start feeling like you are getting a yeast infection, soreness anything abnormal call the doctor right away.
