Two week checkup for LSH and released!
Wow!!! I had my checkup and my doc says I am now released for everything - EVERYTHING!! WooHoo!!! He said since I had no pain during my exam that sex was okay whenever I felt ready. He also told me just to listen to my body and not over do it too soon.
We also discussed my HRT and decided to lower my Vivelle Dot dosage from .1 to .075 and he gave me 5 boxes of free samples. That was a $150 savings in copay for me. Another WooHoo!
My other big news is I'm wearing blue jeans! They are a little bigger fitting but I'm wearing them and I've had them on since 1:30 today without crying.
Had to share my big news! LSH is definitely an easier way to go. I wish you all could have had this type of hyst. and for anyone who looking into a hyst please ask if you are a candidate for laparoscopic.

Two week checkup for LSH and released!
Me too Jazzyloo!
I live near Boston, and Boston thinks that Boston is at the forefront of medicine and a mecca of medical wonders and superior to the rest of the country because so many docs train and practice here. But I recently learned that this area is way behind on laparoscopic surgery. Just slow to change I guess. Very few surgeons in the city do laps. And apparently in the southern states it is done commonly. So knowing that, I feel VERY fortunate to have been steered to one of the few here who do laps. I think it is a crime to do a hyst any other way when it can be done laparoscopically.
I returned to work today and slipped into my work clothes quite nicely now that that old fibroid is gone. I won't be doing sit-ups any time soon but then again.... I never did them before!
Keep dancing.
Love,
Janet

Backflips for you!!
I'm doing the happy dance for you!! Ok the modified happy dance, but happy none the less!! I'm so excited for you. Do a little strut around the room in those jeans, turn, pose, and strut some more!! I'm really pleased to be in my hubbies pj pants at this point, I got the full blown tah though.
GOOD LUCK and don't do too much right off the bat!

Two week checkup for LSH and released!
Add me to the list of those happy to have had LSH! My doctor said that is the surgery he does most these days because it is so much easier. Take it from me though, just because you are released early (for me it was 10 days) doesn't mean that you are necessarily ready for it. I still have to take many rests when trying to do housework. I still get tired quite easily.
But congratulations on being released from restrictions.
LSH is the way to go!

Two week checkup for LSH and released!
I wore jeans for the first time last night to go out to the mall with my husband (LSH on the 2nd)... Can we say OW?!? LOL! My daughter just had to deal with me taking her to the library and walmart in my comfy sweats today.
I don't have my follow-up until the 4 week mark, although the doctor said two weeks was average recovery. I just think some parts are going so slowly. Energy being the biggest,, followed closely by "digestive issues"... Wondering if anyone else with LSH surgery has had that when nearing the two week mark?

LPJ8Fan - I'm in Knoxville. What part of the state is Lascassas?
So glad to see others are pleased with their LSH. I'm a huge advocate for laparoscopic surgery now.
