Post-op sex life concerns

It's a normal enough fear, but don't let it overwhelm you. The majority of women here are doing ok, take a wait and see attitude as all the worry in the world will not be helpful and may well be harmful. Don't do your own head in, or that of your Husband. Your sex life is not over.

This is one of my greatest fears too. I will probably be having a TAH with one ovary removed in November. I have to call the surgeon this week and get a date on the books.

(I will have celebrated my 40th birthday by the time the surgery rolls around).

I am scared to death that our sex life will never be as great. We have worked through infertility, his bad back, and my multiple "female" surgeries over the years. But this just terrifies me.

I am married to the most wonderful man ever, and I know that he would never leave me if my worst fears about our post surgery sex life are confirmed. He says we will work through it, just like we have everything else.

I just hope he is right about our post surgery sex life. I just don't think I can stand to be disappointed again in another area of my life.
